We were all adaptable once
As kids, we fearlessly explore our surroundings and embrace change with wonder and excitement. But, by adulthood, unconscious irrational fears limit our potential and cause stress, anxiety and overwhelm.
People who overcome their fears rediscover adaptability and the freedom that allowed them to flourish as children. Their expanded perspective reveals hidden possibilities upon which they capitalise to flourish and enjoy a more productive, peaceful, and prosperous life.
My name’s Stephen
I'm a coach and mentor with 15+ years of experience building and leading high performing teams and helping individuals and organisations flourish in uncertain and challenging circumstances.
I specialise in reconnecting people with their inherent adaptability by uncovering and overturning the limiting beliefs that hold them back and sabotage their ambition.
I created adaptable edge to support and teach those suffering from worry, anxiety, stress, and overwhelm how to use the underlying fear exposed by changes in life as a catalyst for transformation.
We all have an adaptable edge
It's the point at which the demands and circumstances of our lives reveal the boundaries of our comfort zone. It's also the sign post that guides us to a better life.
Inside our comfort zone, everything is familiar, and we feel safe. However, when change threatens the default behaviours that underpin our safety, fear arises.
Unaddressed, our adaptable edge becomes a place of languishing where we become stuck. Unable to progress or escape the uncomfortable feelings of unfamiliarity and uncertainty.
However, when used to liberate ourselves from the beliefs and assumptions that keep us trapped in our comfort zone, it can also be the doorway to awareness, freedom, adaptability and a world of opportunity.

Adaptability is the quality of being able to change in response to your situation or environment, and, like any skill, it's mastered through regular practice.
Our approach leverages 25 years of academic research used successfully by thousands of people just like you. It breaks adaptability into two composite skills, which, when mastered, creates highly adaptable people.
The first is introspection - the ability to observe and examine your thoughts and emotions. Introspection is a reflective process of contemplation that helps you become more self-aware and uncover insight into the root cause of your fears.
The second is integration - the ability to incorporate new insight into your thoughts and behaviour. Integration is an active process through which you develop belief in your potential by testing insights in the real world and observing unexpected positive results.
